Berry again

My very first blog post was of two photos i had taken in a small town called berry. On the weekend my family and I drove past Berry again and we stayed for a lot longer this time, so I was given the opportunity to take some inspiring photos.

A place of creativity! Everywhere I look, art finds itself in the nooks and crannies of this small town.

Getting in touch with nature

I'm tired of being inside so much.

Just recently, I began to notice my countless hours of being cooped inside the house, mainly procrastinating since the year is almost over. One day while with my best friend, we decided to leave the living room and do the seemingly impossible... go outside.  We walked to and from the shops and stole some mulberries from her neighbours tree... that's not the best example of the benefits that some fresh air can give you, and i'm not suggesting that you go and steal things, because that's not right. But I had a lot of fun outside that day, and then, I realised how much I used to enjoy playing outside as a kid, and like I mentioned in a previous post, being a kid was awesome! And so now, every weekend, I spend a lot of time outside, soaking in the fresh air and getting in touch with nature. If you're like me, and spend unhealthy amounts of time inside, why not try going for a walk down the street, or jumping on your trampoline?

The  sensation of your feet on the soft grass of your backyard

Nothing beats the flying fox I used to love. as a kid

Autumn can only mean one thing...

... The joy of throwing those dry leaves in the air, or kicking the pile of leaves your neighbour spent hours raking.

This photo was taken a few years back, but I never grew tired of my much adored trampoline!

Hope you enjoyed this post, and remember to go outside and get in touch with nature! <3

Tulip Time Festival

For a little more colour to the day...

...Visit the Bowral tulip festival,  a 13 day event held every year in the beautiful Southern
Highlands! More than 100 000 tulips are planted for this celebration, transforming gardens and parks into wonderful displays of spring shades! The event also holds street parades, other forms of entertainment, markets and vintage cars displays. When I visited the Tulip festival with my family, we enjoyed it so much and were there for countless hours, admiring the abundance of colours!

A very happening event,, the crowds are always welcome!

Childhood phase

One of the most magical moments in my life...

...Was definitely my childhood. Being a kid is something almost everybody wants back. Being a kid means no responsibilities, self esteem issues, commitments, work, friendship issues, social and economic struggles, and so much more. As a kid, our imaginations were amazing! And as we got older, we stopped playing games and stopped wanting to be princesses and pirates... The truth is, my favourite part, was when i thought I was a super hero, with infinite powers and flight. After that comes other less enjoyable phases.  I want to be a kid again, I wish I didn't care about social status, I wish that I was oblivious to all that, once again. But in reality, you never really stop being a kid. You just forget about all those things that really used to make you smile. It's never too late to go through that child phase, once more...
Basketball was always a great backyard game for me!

My old cubby house still lingers in the backyard..

Unfortunately I'm not short enough to fit inside anymore XD

Discover

Tired of the rat race you call life?

Aren't we all?? It's time to make changes in your life, BIG changes. Go on adventure and live life to the full, because we only have one chance! Don't spend all  your days sitting in an office and doing what others tell you to do. Leave that behind for a few days and explore another place! Step out of your comfort zone, and learn new things. Remember the things that used to make you happy, and bring them back to your life!

A place my family and I love to travel to, and a place we often use as a quick get away is Dorrigo, a small country town a couple of hours away from Coffs Harbour- Green, kind and tranquil... The drive from Sydney is long, but the view is so worth it i the end. If only there for a few days, you will come back with a different attitude to life.

Here's the link to the accommodation I used, lovely couple!! Thanks guys <3 - http://www.ridgetophideaway.com.au/

Top Stress Beating Tips!

Stressful week? ...

...We've all had those! Here are a few helpful hints to get you back and your feet and enjoy life and get back on your feet!

1. Giving your pets a big hug- yup, it's true, studies have shown that pets have amazing calming properties which can reduce stress.

2.Eat healthy- A bag of chips and a bowl of choc balls, while sounding quite tempting, really isn't the best plan for an everyday snacking spree. Healthy food groups such as vegetables and fruits, have been proven to increase brain function, including your well being! But don't shy away from a tasty treat every now and then ;)

3. Keep Fit and Laugh- It's no secret that physical activity produces endorphins, but did you know laughing does too?? When you laugh, doesn't it feel as if nothing else in the world matters at that moment? Try and integrate some exercise somewhere in your life, and remember that there is always time to have a laugh!

I hope this helped you guys a little ^^ Have a great day, and don't forget to laugh! <3
